Delos

A windy day to take the ferry to Delos, the sacred, uninhabited island at the centre of the Cyclades.

Looking back as we leave the calm of Mykonos.

View from Mount Kinthos.

Apparently one of the oldest Greek inscriptions.

Here kitty kitty.... One of Naxian's gifts.

Wishing you salt spray drenching on the way back from wherever you've been today.

Paros

Somehow not feeling blue, despite the blue sea, blue skies, blue doors and blue domes.

The port at Naoussa, where octopus hangs out.

If all that blue is too much and you don't feel like braving the world, one could just hang out by the pool.

One of the picturesque little chapels in Parikia.

Despite all the blue, Paros is known for things white. The marble used by many of the sculptors dating back to 6th centuary BC came from here. If you're in Paris, you can see a piece of Paros by visiting the Louvre. The Venus de Milo is made of Parian marble.

Up near the marble quarries is the cute town of Lefkes, worth the visit.

And a couple of nice beaches on the east side of the island, looking across to Naxos.

Sending you the blues.

Aaaaah Santorini

This about sums it up!

Bummer...

I can understand the skiing part... And quite frankly I don't care much about grass growing on my summer holiday ;) what a lovely day!
